Systemic Organisational Development for Strong Partners
Through a systemic approach, we empower our clients at national, regional, and global levels, while at the same time strengthening their networks. As part of our sustainability strategy, we train multipliers in partner countries – for example, as trainers in entrepreneurial thinking, facilitators, or advisers in organisational development. Organisational development can take many forms. We support the foundation of organisations (e.g. youth associations or value chain platforms), accompany leadership teams in change processes (e.g. during periods of rapid growth), assist with structural adjustments (e.g. in decentralisation processes), and provide guidance for the development of new business models. Much of our work involves member-based farmers’ associations or other forms of not-for-profit organisations. However, we also work with co-operatives, Farmer Producer Companies, and other economically oriented organisations, both in rural and urban contexts.
Needs-Based Pathways for Sustainable Impact
The professionalisation and support of an organisation’s development are adapted to its specific situation. Based on an interactive assessment and analysis – often through workshops and consultations with representatives – this process typically includes a series of workshops with the leadership team, coaching of key leaders, as well as training and capacity building for managers and staff. The consistently positive feedback we receive from our clients demonstrates the effectiveness of this needs-based, flexible, and results-driven approach. With a pragmatic focus, the AHA strengthens both individuals and organisations, while contributing to the sustainable development of the agri-food sector.
